Wine and Food Pairing
UNESCO experts considered that the French-style gastronomic meal, with its rituals and presentation, fulfilled the conditions for inclusion on the list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This is the first time that a country's gastronomy has achieved this status.
The members of the Committee noted that the meal was in France a customary social practice designed to celebrate the most important moments in the lives of individuals and groups.
